Calling all Greenfingers!
It might not feel like it with all the cold weather we've been having, but spring is definitely in the air. The days are getting longer, the birds are singing and the buds are finally beginning to burst.
And this can only mean one thing: it's time to get our boots on and get outside!
We are starting to get things in motion here at the Kingcombe Centre by increasing the work we do in our organic gardens, and we'd love for you to come along and give us a hand with them.
It doesn’t matter if you're not an experienced gardener. Although gardening knowledge is welcomed, the main thing is that you enjoy being outside and are willing to give it a go. There will be a variety of tasks for all abilities, including seed sowing, weeding, digging, harvesting and tool maintenance.
Helping us can help you to keep fit, make new friends and feel satisfied in the knowledge that you're providing an invaluable service for the centre and the Dorset Wildlife Trust as a whole.
It's amazing how much fun a few hours gardening can be, so don't be shy, come on down to the Kingcombe Centre and give it a whirl!
How to get involved
Greenfingered Guardians will run from 10am each Friday. You are welcome to come for as many hours as you can spare, but a packed lunch is recommended if you wish to stay all day.
