Courses, Workshops and Events

PLEASE READ THESE BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS CAREFULLY

Payments

Until full payment is received all bookings are considered provisional and we reserve the right to cancel a booking

Short (Day) Workshops, Courses and Events:

The full balance is payable to confirm your reservation at time of booking and is non-refundable

Multi Day Workshops, Courses and Events:

Deposit:   A non-refundable deposit of 20% is payable to confirm your reservation

Balance of Fees:   The balance of payment is due no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival date.  If full payment is not received at this time, The Kingcombe Centre reserve the right to cancel your reservation, in which case normal cancellation terms will apply.  If you anticipate a delay in making your final payment, please inform the Centre.

Bookings made within 8 weeks of arrival date require full balance to be paid to confirm the reservation.

Cancellations / Changes / Refunds

If it becomes necessary to cancel your booking, please inform The Kingcombe Centre by phone and then confirm in writing as soon as possible.  Cancellation is effective from the date your letter or email is received at our offices and acknowledged and will be subject to cancellation charges as follows:

Any deposit paid is automatically forfeit if the booking is cancelled by the customer for any reason.

Cancellations more than 8 weeks prior to arrival date will result in a refund of monies paid less the non-refundable deposit.

Cancellations less than 8 weeks prior to arrival date whether deliberately or by default, the balance of fees must still be paid in full, a condition which is accepted when the booking is confirmed.

Day Workshops, Courses or Events cancelled at any time after booking will result in no refund unless we are able to ­refill your place.

In the event of the Kingcombe Centre having to cancel a course all monies including a deposit will be refunded.

In the rare event that The Kingcombe Centre has to cancel a course due to insufficient numbers we will endeavour to advise customers with a minimum 4 weeks notice.  In such circumstances, customers will be offered to transfer to another course or any monies paid held as credit (for up to 12 months from original date of arrival) or a full refund will be issued.

The Kingcombe Centre reserves the right to appoint an alternative appropriate tutor for any workshop, event or course should the advertised tutor be unable to attend and will not issue refunds or amendments to confirmed participants.  We will ensure all participants are informed of any change at the time of event.

Amendments / Transfers

No reductions or refunds can be made in respect of late arrival, early departure or absence during any part of your group’s reserved booking including accommodation, catering or transport.

Date Changes: If, after your booking has been confirmed, you wish to transfer your reservation to different dates or course, we will make every effort to meet your requirements.Alterations made by you less than 8 weeks prior to arrival date will incur full cancellation charges as set out above unless we are able to re-fill your place.In such circumstances, the balance (less the deposit) will be held as a credit towards another course or booking (valid for 12 months from the original date of arrival).

The Kingcombe Centre reserve the right to refuse to accept any booking without stating a reason.

General Conditions

The Kingcombe Centre does not offer customers insurance, and strongly recommends that customers consider taking out their own insurance to cover any cancellation costs.

The Kingcombe Centre cannot take responsibility for loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings.

Pets are welcome at the Kingcombe Centre for day visits, however can only be accommodated in certain circumstances.  Please ask for details when making a booking and note that additional charges may apply.

The weather and ground conditions at Kingcombe, and the sites which our courses visit, can be unpredictable so we recommend that all attendees bring suitable footwear and clothing for all weather conditions, together with lunch box and water bottle/flask if your course is offsite.

Please note that the degree of difficulty and physical fitness required for our activities varies and you should ensure that you have a full understanding of this before booking a course to ensure full enjoyment of the course for all.
