We are really excited to welcome acclaimed storyteller, Martin Maudsley, back to Kingcombe for this truly unique evening.
You will head out onto the magical Kingcombe Meadows Nature Reserve for a gentle stroll accompanied by Martin, who will weave folklore and local legends into the walk. After your stroll you will head back to the beautiful converted barn of The Kingcombe Centre to sit down to a long table supper of freshly prepared, locally sourced food interspersed with fabulous folktales.
The menu of stories gently complements the surrounding land and food courses, exploring themes of farming, seasonality, provenance and stewardship of the land, but always allowing time and space to allow the listeners to hear their own thoughts and make their own connections.
£30 pp guided walk, storytelling and 3 course dinner.
Meet at 4.45pm for the event to start at 5pm with a gentle hour’s walk before heading back for dinner. Finish approx. 8.30-9.00pm.
What to bring:
As you will be out for a walk please bring suitable clothing, wet weather jackets (just in case) and comfortable walking shoes or wellies (if it’s being raining).
