Drawing Fruit and Veg in Graphite
Wednesday 26 September 2018 10:00 - 16:00
Explore the wonderful variety of texture, form and pattern of fruit and vegetables in this one-day botanical drawing workshop, led by Penny Brown.
This one-day workshop will look specifically at the structure of fruit and vegetables by studying them cut in half. This gives plenty of opportunity to observe and draw a wide variety of shapes and forms, studying the different details, for example; the contrasting textures of the inner layers of a pepper or cabbage, the hard stone of a cherry nestling in the soft flesh.
You will be encouraged to use a full range of graphite pencils from the dark 6B through to the pale 6H and will be shown a variety of marks and techniques from clear outlines to sharp hatching and smooth, rich blending. This will be a relaxed, fun workshop suitable for all skills where you will receive all the support you need to realise your creative ideas.
Day Workshop: £75 pp includes all tuition, materials as per above and morning tea.
Times: Arrive from 9.45am for morning tea. The course will start at 10.00am and finish at 4pm.
