Discover the huge diversity of species on the wing at Kingcombe during high summer with David Brown using light traps, before tucking into a delicous home cooked breakfast.

Led by David Brown

Sun 5 July  2015

The warm nights of summer provide one of the best times to see the diversity of moth species in the Kingcombe valley.  This special morning event will include identification of, and discussions about the moths that will have been caught the night before in the range of special light traps set around The Kingcombe Centre and reserve.

After your morning of discovery, you will then head back to the centre for a hearty brunch at the café.

David Brown, a former teacher of 20 years experience, has also lectured at Warwick University on Lepidoptera for many years.   He has conducted successful courses for the Field Studies Council and Adult Residential Colleges Association since 1990.  David is the County Moth Recorder for Warwickshire and author of ‘The Larger Moths Of Warwickshire’.
