Join us to discover the migrant birds of this stunning coastal reserve of reed beds, including a bird ringing demonstration.
Discover one of our smaller coastal reserves with spectacular views, reed beds and wet meadows on a walk with our volunteer warden. The reserve attracts a large range of migrant bird species such as Reed and Sedge Warblers, Cetti’s Warbler’s, Wheaters, Whincats and Redstarts and if we are lucky the occasional rarity.
There will also be an opportunity to see birds really close up during a bird ringing demonstration, weather permitting.
£5 pp - includes guided activities.
Meet at West Bexington car park 08.30am, finishing approx. 11am.
What to bring:
As you will be outside please bring suitable clothing, wet weather jackets (just in case!), good walking shoes and binoculars if you have them.
Note: no dogs are allowed on this walk and participants are responsible for parking charges.
Comments from previous events:
A great morning at West Bexington in spite of the conditions not being entirely favourable. Learnt lots, very very enjoyable. Thank you - Louise.
