Discover the diversity of species on the wing at Kingcombe during early summer with David Brown using light traps, before tucking into a delicious home cooked brunch.

Early summer is a great time to see the diversity of moth species in the Kingcombe valley.  This special morning event will include identification of and discussions about the moths that will have been caught the night before in the range of special light traps set around The Kingcombe Centre and reserve.

After your morning of discovery you will head back to the centre for a hearty brunch at the café.

Comments from previous events:

An excellent morning led by an extremely engaging and knowledgeable leader.  I must admit I didn't know how beautiful moths could be, I would highly recommend this session to anyone with even the slightest interest in moths, you won't regret it! - Helen.

Excellent morning hosted by a very knowledgable lepidopterist who was pleasant and approachable!  The brunch wasn't half bad either!  I hope you run this again next year so that I can make a return visit - David.
