Dawn is a feast for the senses at Kingcombe. Join Su Gough for an early morning guided bird walk followed by a hearty full home-cooked breakfast.
Spring is one of the best times to experience the incredible songs of the dawn chorus. Join us for this early morning guided walk at Kingcombe Meadows Nature Reserve before heading back to the centre for a hearty breakfast.
About the Leader:
Su Gough is the Training Officer with the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) responsible for developing and delivering the BTO programme of training for amateurs and professionals in bird identification, bird survey techniques and BTO project-specific methods. Su has worked at BTO since 1991, initially as a Research Ecologist in the Terrestrial Ecology Unit, working principally on farmland, woodland and urban birds. Su has been working at Kingcombe for many years delivering courses for BTO at the centre.
£16 pp - includes guided activities and breakfast.
Meet at 5.45am. Finish approximately 9.00am.
What to bring:
As you will be outside in the early morning, please bring warm clothing, wet weather jackets and good walking shoes or wellies if there has been lots of rain! Also bring binoculars if you have them.
Coming from further afield or wish to extend your stay, just add a B&B package to your booking.
