Terms and Conditions of Booking

PLEASE READ THESE BOOKING CONDITIONS CAREFULLY

Payment

1. Until the deposit or full payment is received the booking is treated as provisional. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Full payment is due on bookings made less than six weeks before the course begins.
2. We regret that no reductions can be made in respect of late arrival, early departure or absence during any part of the course.
3. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, bank transfer or cheque. If you choose to pay by cheque, please make it payable to The Kingcombe Trust.

Balance of Fees

4. After paying the deposit you will receive a receipt and confirmation of your booking. This is also an invoice for the balance of the course fee which is due six weeks before the start of the course - please check this information carefully.
5. If payment is not received one month before the start of the course, The Kingcombe Trust reserves the right to cancel your reservation, in which case normal cancellation terms will apply. Please notify The Centre if you anticipate a delay in making your final payment.

Discounted Rates

6. Friends of Kingcombe and members of the Dorset Wildlife Trust, Plantlife International and the Linnean Society are entitled to a 10% reduction on all courses. The discount will be given on the first day of the course upon production of a valid membership card.

Cancellation

7. If it is necessary for you to cancel your booking please inform us in writing as soon as possible. Cancellation is effective from the date of receiving your letter.
8. Refunds cannot given if cancellation is made less than one month before the start of the course, whether deliberately or by default.
9. We reserve the right to cancel courses due to unforeseen circumstances. Should this happen, your payment will be refunded in full within a week of notice being given.
10. The Kingcombe Trust reserves the right to refuse to accept any booking without stating a reason.

Insurance

11. If you are forced to cancel or curtail your course you may be liable to payment of up to 100% of the course fees. The Kingcombe Trust cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to guests’ personal belongings, such as baggage or money. Therefore we highly recommend that you take out insurance cover prior to your visit.
